I went with one of my classmate to DD BBq last weekend, she brought a magazine, so i started reading it while waiting for the food to come...it was a man magazine; titled "10 Things Men Don't Know About Women". It is a monthly magazine and this article is written by random female celebrities each month. It's a funny article, and also very informative for men because these celebrities really wrote some of our dirtiest secrets we keep from guys. So, I thought it's a great idea to write my version of the article on my blog (much better than posting the same thing over and over again, getting bored of it!).

Okay,,, I always have been a fan of CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA... I am one of his fan since high school (well not that kind of fans that are willing to sacrifice anything just to see him... I'm just a regular fan)... especially by his song "The way you look at me" because this song was booming in Indonesia back then...and yeah.. I love it. =)
Maybe most of you don't know who he is... well let me tell you a bit about him... =)

So his real name is Christian Joseph Morata Bautista, he was born in October 19, 1981, more popularly known by his screen name Christian Bautista. He is a Filipino singer, actor and model. He was a finalist of Star In A Million, a Philippine reality show aired on ABS-CBN channel, it was in 2003 and he was the 4th place winner in the competition. After the contest, he signed a recording contract with Warner Music Philippines and released his self-titled debut album, Christian Bautista. The multi-platinum album established his name as an OPM artist with songs such as "The Way You Look At Me", "Invincible" and "Hands To Heaven" topping the charts. The singer gained popularity not only in the Philippines but in other countries in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Anyway,, its been long time haven't heard his song.. but then today... i just found out that he was contracted with one of the Warner Music Indonesia... and the one that amazed me most is... He doesn't used tagalog or English for the song... but Indonesian... YAY (big applause, because I know its not easy to speak Indonesian, but he is trying though.. and all I can do is two thumbs up for him). Although most of his songs are old song that's been translated to Indonesian language...but it turned out GOOD to the max

We all know that New Media somehow makes our lives easier but we should also not forget the risk that are related to it.

Female and Male

There is a story that I would like to share when I was in my English Literature class. I found it's true when my professor was talking about the difference in female and male.
The difference is when a female looks at her reflection in the mirror, she sees defect and flaw, "awww i gained pounds, i got a little blemish, i got dark circles." no matter how goodlooking she is. when a male looks at his relection, he sees bradpitt or Matt Damon, "damn i look good." no matter how not very attractive he is.

well, its not always true but it sure does happen.

Life

Life is a word that has so many meaning depends on our point of view. Life can be meant as someone's journey from his/her births until his/her dead. Life also can be meant as the process of our development in anything, from zero to hero maybe or some another kind of that. But, whatever the meaning was, is not a big deal because everyone has their own life and its their desicion on how to make their life beautiful or historical. Generally life is something that we can use when we are still living in this universe and everyone has it and they also have their own path in their life. There is no one that has the same path and it always different because we have our own destiny and fate. We can change our destiny or fate except our death. That’s all depends on how we can manage through our life as good as we can and how we can see the positives side and throwing away the negative side of each tragedy or anything that we've been through so far. We can made a history or beautiful of our life if we always learn from our experiences and our fault, because all we know that our experience is the best teacher for our self or maybe some other one.

We will get benefits if our life today is better than yesterday, we will lose out if our life today is the same as yesterday, and we will get bad luck if our life today is worse than yesterday. Pray as well as you can, as though as you will die tomorrow; and work hard as well as you can, as though as you will live forever in this world. Did you agree with that?

Continuing from the previous definition about LIFE now is the real question of LIFE.....


It’s been a while I want to write about this, a question that I find and the answers from what I have been questioned. One of the questions is "why I was born and lived until now?" It was a pretty big question for me so far. However, I've found a satisfactory answer for me personally.

Why was I born? Basically, all humans are born with one main goal, which is to worship God Almighty. Is it just that? No, but I was also born to give / add happiness to the people there are around me, especially my parents. Because all we know how couples who do not have the child feel. They are confused, anxious, and tried a variety of ways to be able to have a child.
Many people who complain, "Why was I born if it had to end up like this?" Actually, the destiny that was no reason to complain, regrets, or evens the end of life as some people out there. Bad luck or suffering is a problem. And the problem itself must be solved, rather than run away or escape from problems that occur. Life without problems seemed boring like vegetables without salt. Because of our problems can be matured, changing the way we think, or even change the way when we decide something.


Let’s go back again to the further question in the first paragraph, "why do I still live today?" Because this very valuable opportunity. Opportunity to worship, repent, learns, and a chance to reward those who have helped me a lot to live this life even though that person is not disinterested in what they have given to me. I do not know how long this opportunity will continue to be given to me, but the most important thing for me is to go through all this with its best until the opportunity has given me expired.

Temptation world =P

You know what, you know what…let me tell you guys something!!!!
This is the typical me. Diligently push myself to acquire understanding of my classes at the beginning of the semester in my previous school. Execute my worries having homework during the weekend by finishing it before hand, having dark circles and eyes bags due to staying up late studying for a test/quiz, paying full attention in class, taking notes, etcetera. But my attitude now changes when I transferred my school to Baruch College. I choose movies over text books, going out over studying, sleeping over doing assignments, drinking over getting stressed out obtaining understanding toward my studies (okay not really but yeah whatever)

I know, I know that tenacity is needed to separate success from failure, but I just can’t help it. (Screaming out loud: “I CAN’T HELP IT”) Temptation is everywhere…. There is quiz and assignments for tomorrow and I can’t even manage to open the book. I know I hate school since the beginning of my existence. As people grow up, they naturally gravitate toward things that they do well and drift away from things they don’t do well. Some people dislike school coz things they’re good at are less emphasized due to the required coursework. But me… I don’t even know what I’m good at. Influenced (leverage) my strength in school is out of the question coz I don’t even know what I’m good at… aih aih… “sebellllllll” (oh for the people that don’t know what sebel is.. its just the short word for saying I hate being me…lmao)

I know school is a place where people can explore different knowledge and opportunities available, but I just hate being judged whether or not you’re intelligent by standardized exam. (A) means you’re smart, (B) means okay, (C) mean stupid, (D) means don’t need to go to school you need help (aka crazy, mental illness etcetera etcetera..blah blah blah…), and (F) no comment (don’t even wanna metioned about it)…well this is just from my own perception please don’ t get offended . So whoever think/care less about grades, you are like me. woot woot, But remember the pressure is still on…=P

The most important thing I guess is at the end. Some people excel well in school but not in real life. And some just have the standard knowledge and became success in real life. Just like what my dad have told me, I guess its based from his and most of his friends’ experiences. Anyway, when I was in Indonesia, I have my vision of a business empire, I already know what im gonna make, I already know how I can get the initial capital (oh, not from daddy’s money), I already know wat asset and strategies I will pursue, I already know what risk I’m going to face. what is it? I DON’T KNOW…LMAO…… (OMG I guess I must have been dreaming writing this blog.. its 3.17am….) -----please lanie get REAL… I guess I need to face the reality… its not as easy as it seems…. Okay.. guys you just wasted your time…if you are reading this s***t…HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA… EVIL LAUGH….

What is Love??? Is it a feeling of a deep passion, sexual desire or attraction between two people or more???
Based on the Wikipedia “a strong positive emotion of regard and affection; "his love for his work"; "children need a lot of love"

But what is it really means??

Okay, here we go if it comes to relationship, what does love really means to you people?
If any girls were asked, "why do you love your man??"… their answers would be in some sort of the number below:

1. They are very caring.
2. They will stand for you always, whatever may be situation.
3. They are ready to do anything for you
4. They are ready to sacrifice
5. You can call them at time, they won’t mind
6. Guys may be flirting around all day but before they go to sleep,they always think about the girl they truly care about.
7. When you touch a guy’s heart, there’s no turning back.
8. Guys love their moms. so if we can be like their mom, thy love us more
9. They will sacrifice his money for lunch just to get you a couple of roses.
10. If a guy tells you he loves you once in a lifetime. He does.

Okay,, so is this really true that the guys will acted that way when they trully love their girls?? (this 25 reasons are from one of a website actually.. ehmm 4got the website's name... but yeah whatever)

Why is there something called "LOVE"? or more specifically, why do we love our boy/girlfriend (LOVERS) then??





In my opinion… You know you love someone when that person's happiness is extremely important to you, even if that means they are not going to be with you (i though that is very painful, but yeah thats a risk when u trully love someone). You know you love someone when you really trust them enough to always tell them the truth, and you know that even if they don't like what they hear that they will still accept you no matter what..

What about infatuation? This words have been asked to me lately by one of my friend who has trouble with her love ones...is it the same as love??

"Infatuation is where you think obsessive happy thoughts of wanting to be with someone". Love is just like infatuation but added more toward it (like adding more spices to make it tasty on your food...okay maybe not exactly related n not what im trying to say with my point)...anyway, its when you're less afraid of losing or not having the person and more just appreciative that they are your friend/lover. And you accept them as how they are, you are aware of all their faults and do not see them as a perfect, flawless person, but you love them with all their faults.

BUT THEN AGAIN THE POINT HERE, I GUESS LOVE IS JUST SOMETHING YOU KNOW, SOMETHING YOU FEEL SO DEEPLY THAT YOU DONT QUESTION IT...LOL

Im just so amazed I could write everything down,, I meant when I'm asked about this kind of question i need 15 minutes at least just to put the words altogether and tell the person that asked me directly to them, but with writing, it just flow.. eventhough,, idk if my sentence are making sense to the READER (but yet, I dont care)...wohooo...

okay so yeah lets just continue..... =)

Mentioning about "LOVE, LOVE n LOVE" words reminds me of something now =)

Long time ago I'd been asked by someone,,, whether friend and a boyfriend is the same or not… N obviously I said no its not the same… However the person that asked me still convinced me that it is the same (he thought of it as saying that what we do with our boyfriend, we can do it too with our friend, such as sharing everything to them (including stories, secret, n so on and so on), cared for them, etc..)... Though the words lover (boyfriend/girlfriends) and friend sounds the same but so far the difference between them is concerned, it is too much in the real sense...well yeah its true tho, we can do the same activities or whatsoever with both. I mean we can love them both too right?
To get the answer from me, is (cough..cough) first of all, we will have to differentiate between the definition of a lover and a friend. And then we can get to the reason why its different.... =)

Here is the meaning and the reasons:
A friend is the person who is with u when u r happy and sad. A friend is also a person who knows what we want. That knows us the way we know us. They are also the one who does a lot for us. A true friend is a relaxation for the whole life.... Life without friend is like crossing a sea without a boat.

When it comes to lover... simply means a person whether boy or a girl to whom you like or love and with whom you want to continue and exists your relations as a husband or wife through out your life. Sincerity and commitment is a must in the relationships with a lover and because without sincerity relations will not develop sincerely between both parties. Lover has the passion to sacrifice his feelings, his or likings or disliking and his or her everything, which he or she possesses...Love is a natural feeling and we may fall in love with anyone. Love is the most exquisite gift of God and it just happen without definition. He has sent a boon from Heaven so we could enjoy the charm of love the way we want to enjoy. It is like caring for somebody else unconditionally. A lover is happy in the happiness of his/her beloved. So we can considered a Lover as a person who stays with their loved ones throughout life and always keeps him/her happy :-)


CONCLUSION HAS BEEN MADE FOR ANY OF YOU WHO STILL THINK FRIENDS AND LOVER ARE THE SAME: A lover is someone who u chose for ur life but a friend is someone who is guiding u

I've been so wanting gladiator sandal, ever since last summer 2009... I got one actually, my mom bought it for me.. Not the one that I wanted though, but it was okay. Anyway, now there are other version of sandal that I adore..Its just so cool (well thats in my opinion), but prolly I have to wait if I want to buy it until it got sale in the West Nine store.. =) Or if anyone want to buy it for me, I'll be soo very beryy extremely happy.. heheheee (yeah I wish!!)

I have a couple of minutes to post this before i get dressed to my Pajamas and go to bed...zzzz. I guess i will do a hometown feature this time, like the one I read in one of the famous celebrity blog. Because simply, i love Jakarta despite the things I've complained all the time like the traffic jam and classic pollution in big cities problem. No matter where I go, I will always miss my beloved hometown.

If you go to Satoo restaurant, be sure to order: It's a buffet baby, go indulge on everything. Especially the desserts. (but this one is kinda expensive)... for restaurant, i guess anything will be fine in Indo for me... I also rarely go to the fancy restaurant with having to pay overprice, I rather go to the place where I can get together with all my friends, and basically a place where the price range is average for people around my age... =)

*My favorite museum: The scary museum.... The Fatahillah (reminds me of Junior High School)
*My favorite tourist destination: Ancol, it's an Indonesian version of Disneyland Resort with the theme park and all. And if only I can be honest with you guys, i've only been there once.... whoaaaaaa...can't wait to go there again
*Best insider spot: Kemang area is the best place to hang out in daily basis.

*Best place to go shopping: Blok M mall, Cibubur Junction, Graha Cijantung, Senayan City, Plaza Indonesia, and many more

*But leave room in your suitcase for: Cool new clothes or new accesories/items that you will buy there. It's one of the biggest shopping destination of South East Asia.
*The one local cuisine you should try when you’re in town is: Batagor, shomay, sate or Mie Ayam with a lot of chily if your stomach can handle it..... slurp =9
*The best way to get around: Cars or cabs (for most of high level people), and for everyone is the so called "angkutan umum" (public transportation mini bus) or bus
*If I had to describe this city in one word, it would be: Fabulous.
*I tell my friends to stay at: If you wanna spend your money then lot of nice 5 stars hotels or boutique hotels in South Jakarta. I'd suggest either Hotel Mulia, Grand Hyatt or Grand Kemang because they're near all the cool places, But then again, they can stay at my house... although its pretty far from the city though n not as cosy as the hotels that they have in the city =)
*The one thing most outsiders don’t know about this city is: That once you live like a local, you will get lost in this city ever so completely. And if i said ur gonna get lost..I really mean it!!!
*They say “Virginia is for lovers.” So fill in the blank: Jakarta is for "trendy urban people who works hard and play harder"....lmao

Yay! My 1st, finally.......

So this is my first blog after all. Well I never decided to write blog and when I say never, I “MEANT NEVER”… Usually, I just write whatever is in my mind in my not so very-attractive looking notebook, but it was a couple years ago though, I got tired of writing and never write ever since. So now, I decided that it is time for me to venture the world of blogging. I mean what could be bad about using Blog right? Wait, I guess people would have their own opinion about me using blog, maybe they would say…. “What is wrong with your English?” or “don’t even write when you can’t even spell, type or use the correct grammar”… but hey, I’m open to any type of criticism, as long as you guys keep it cool and not be throwing any rotten tomatoes, bananas and especially rotten eggs at me.. it’s not that I don’t like you guys to throw rotten veggies/fruits to me, but I prefer you guys throw things that I can use like money, jewelries, and other precious things or maybe something that I can eat but definitely not rotten foods and not left over, make it new n fresh from the oven please… hahahaha just kidding,, I guess u guys need to warm up a little and not to serious reading this blog, (Wait, Is that sentence even correct?)

Okay, I made this blog recently; it’s a requirement for my Media class actually. But I kind of like using this Blog, I mean I’m hoping that I can post something interesting every now and then,, so people can check this out…or maybe not.. I guess just for my own satisfaction... really… =)

Well writing is just not my thing, like seriously its not, but I guess I have too whether I like it or not, I mean I still remember my first English class that I took in my previous school and got B on that class… well duh, it was a writing intensive course, sometime I wonder, how the hell should an Indonesian girl like me who just moved to NYC like 2 years and 5 months ago knows how to write in an appropriate way of writing and how she talks was like in a super super sonic speed.. Woman please chill, second language speaker here!!! lol… Anyway, my weakness is basically on my grammar and I guess it continues until now that I’ve been In US for almost 3 years and still can’t use a proper grammar and proper English… Whoaaaaaa… sometimes I just want to be like other Indonesian people that are so fluent with their English and sometimes I said to myself "if only I could do my high school in US, maybe my English will be super duper amazing." But, I don’t want to regret my life nor turned back my life, because the biggest regret in my life is having regrets… I guess whatever happens, it happens for the best and we will never know what we would expect later on. (OMG,, here we go again, is this sentence making sense,, been reading this but I guess something is just not right in this sentence..=p )

Anyway, before further due… I’m asking you guys to please don’t laugh or giggle at my funny phrases or words that I might used when I’m going to post in this blog… Its just sometimes when it gets tough writing in English and my head feels like its going to blow, I created my own language that I called “Indengsia” which actually refers to Indonesia n English….So if one day I wrote “did you know that si itu,, well ya begitu deh, a little disappointed but still nyebelin” don’t hesitate to ask what I mean by that stupid sentence…woot woot!
